We are Damien, Pam, Jarrod & Clare Tyler and we live in a semi-rural area called
"Don Valley" 50 kms east
of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in the beautiful Yarra
Ranges wine growing
district.
Kezziah Kennels
was established in 1984 when we purchased a bitch puppy as a family
companion.
Our major interest at this early stage
was obedience and we
were successful in gaining
a number
of obedience titles on several dogs
during the next couple of years.
As our passion for
the breed grew we made the decision to enter the Show Ring and after
much research we purchased
our foundation bitch from Shepbrae Kennels
in
Victoria.
We successfully
campaigned "Cameo" - Australian Champion Shepbrae The
Starsimage (AZ)
to her title and shortly after commenced our breeding
programme.
We have been
fortunate to have had such a solid start with a
bitch that was not only
a successful show dog, but has also produced healthy, sound puppies of
terrific quality.
Since that time, we have owned and bred many Australian Champions, four Grand Champions (three bred by us!!),
multi All Breed Best in Show winners, multiple Royal Challenge and Best of Breed winners.
Several of our dogs have also been placed highly at Group level at Royal Shows, with our beautiful
Grand Champion Shepbrae Our Royal Spark winning the Working Dog Group in 2001.
In 2005, we imported the delightful Canadian Champion Crystaridge's Major Attraction who gained his Australian title
with ease and continues to do well in the ring including Best Of Breed and Group 4th at the 2007 Royal Melbourne Show.
Two Golden Retrievers have also been imported from New Zealand, one of which is a now an Australian Champion and All Breeds
Best in Show winner. He was the Golden Retriever Club of Victoria's 'Puppy of The Year' in 2004.
Both Jarrod and Clare have been very successful in Junior Handlers at both State and National level, winning four State
and two National titles between them, with Clare representing Australia at Crufts in 2007 & 2009.
They have also had a great deal of success in the conformation
ring with several breeds at Best in Show level.
As we move into 2010, a new era has commenced at Kezziah.
With the passing of three of our Grand Champions over the past 12 months, our rebuilding program has begun
with two new
arrivals from the USA and litters planned for later in the year.
We continue to exhibit quality German Shepherds and have added a
delightful Shetland Sheepdog who continues to fly the flag for Kezziah.
We are looking forward to our future with great excitement!
