*** 2009 to date!!! ***

2009 so far has been a year of mixed emotions. Sadly, we lost the mother and daughter double
of Grand Champion Kezziah Enchantress, 'Ellie'and Grand Champion Kezziah Great Big Secret, 'Secret'.
Words cannot express the void we feel at the loss of these two girls. Not only did
they both exceed all our expectations in the ring, they were a major part of our family.
Both Secret & Ellie were multi Best in Show winners and both were Best of Breed winners
and Group finalists at the Royal Melbourne Show.

On a happier note, Easter saw the release from Quarantine of our two new pups from the USA!
'Sophie" - Yankee Baby at Kezziah (Imp USA) & 'Visa' Random Traveller at Kezziah (Imp USA) arrived safely and
survived their 4 week quarantine with ease! Thanks to all the friends who visited whilst we were overseas!
Sired by the beautiful (and very smart!!) American Champion & American Performance Champion Caisson's Unconditional
Surrender TD HSAS MX MXJ XF and the Grand Children of the great American Champion Kismet's Sight For Sore Eyes, we are
extremely excited about their future!

Clare again represented Australia in the International Junior Handlers Final at Crufts 2009 after
winning the Victorian State Final for a third time, and the National Final for the second time!
How exciting to see her again representing her country......a fitting finale to her Junior Handlers career!

Jarrod had a great Sydney Royal Show! Making the final cut with the St Bernard,
Australian Grand Champion Bernegardens Prison Guard (Imp NWY)
and BEST IN SHOW 3rd with the Pug, Aust Ch Triseter Mopsi Cerise!

Jarrod has now headed north to Queensland, to work for Australia's famous Suthanlites Siberian Husky kennel.
Since April 2009, Jarrod has taken 'Flint'- Champion Suthanlites Lite My Fire to Australia's #1 Siberian Husky
with multi Best In Show wins. We miss him, but he is loving his new venture!

Clare continues on her winning way in 2009. Several All Breed Best in Shows with various dogs, as well as
two speciality Best In Show wins!
Malamutes still feature prominently with numerous wins with the Kataku kids!
2009 also saw 'Tina' - Ch. Eireannmada Queen Of Rock, Clare's Irish Setter owned in partnership
with breeder Greg Browne, gain her Australian Championship title.

September 2009 saw the debut of 'Sophie' - Yankee Baby at Kezziah (Imp USA) at an Australian Royal!
A pleasing result saw her being awarded Best Puppy of Breed by judge Mr.Luis Pinto Teixeira (Portugal).

Jarrod showed the Pomeranian, Australian Champion Dochlaggie Dragon Heart to BEST IN SHOW 4th

Clare took "Brooke" - Ch & NZ Ch Goldsmith Making a Point For Chesterhope (Imp NZ) to Best of Breed

To top of a brilliant show, our favourite "little brown dog" Canadian Ch. & Australian Grand Champion Grandgables Home Town Hero (Imp USA)
goes BEST IN SHOW, and Thor, Grand Champion Kataku Fire Storm goes Best in the Utility Group!!
Awesome day with great friends and family!!

After an exhausting 10 days of Melbourne Royal, our next outing was to the famous Melbourne Cup Carnival held over
Melbourne Cup weekend. What a great few days for Kezziah!
At the Working Dog Club of Victoria Show, our little Lacey - Champion Shanelg Knickas Ina Knot was awarded
Best of Breed by judge Mrs. L. Cartledge of the UK!! Huge thanks to Michelle Koch of Robgai Collies for doing such
a brilliant job handling her whilst Clare was at the Irish Show!!

Clare shows "Tina" her Irish Setter Ch. Eireannmada Queen Of Rock to Junior In Show at the Irish Setter Championship Show.

At the Vic Womens Championship Show 'Max', Canadian & Australian Champion Crystaridges' Major Attraction (Imp Canada) was
awarded the Dog Challenge whilst 'Visa', Random Traveller at Kezziah (Imp USA) was awarded Reserve at his very first show!
The day belonged to 'Sophie', Yankee Baby at Kezziah (Imp USA), who was awarded Best of Breed, Group 2nd and PUPPY IN SHOW by
judge Mrs. P. Cruz from Mexico!

Jarrod also had a great win with 'Flint' Ch. Suthanlites Lite My Fire, winning the "Battle Of the Ashes" a sweepstakes for
All Breed Best In Show winners from the past 12 months.
